So i lost my PSD file for my Under Another Sky project and I cant upload the image to the web ~_~ How am i going to send it off to the GRD portfolio review next year.... I might have to remake it again. At least i'll have new skills by that time to pull it off

Typography is one of those things where I'm just not very good at it :/ I hope to get better with typography because I know its really important to my GRD portfolio coming in the spring and if I would like to make it in, I need to boost up my creativity with it rather than sticking to bland designs. Manipulations of words to create a meaning and illusion is hard for me.

So for my Book Cover project, i will be doing "A Long Way Gone". Why did i choose this book? Well I have a thing for war stories and hardships. I grew up reading interesting historic books on subjects such as Holocaust and the amount of character building and life changing moments and decisions. The moment I saw this book and read about it, I knew immediately what art I wanted to use and how the book would look like.

Creative Saturday

So me and a friend of mines have started doing Creative Saturdays. This is where we park our asses at starbucks in a Barnes and Nobles and we spend the day practicing drawing, design, and painting using the various books. @_@ I'll probably post up sketches and stuff more but yea :|

Typography Project I: Snowfall (Old)

I'm hoping to remake this soon. This was my first dip into typography and it's tough for me to keep up with the lettering form and negative spacing x_x but i'll get there

Project 3: "Another World" Concert ft. Yoko Shimomura

I notice that I don't really put down my ideas much, and its a blog so I suppose it should be a thing yea? I decided to go for Yoko Shimomura for my musician. As a gamer and a future game artist, Yoko is one of the world's best (if not THE best) female composer. She works in the Japanese industry but have done scores across the world, in some installments that you wouldn't believe. She grew up in a time where "video game" music is not considered real music, but now that gaming has become a world's top entertainment industry, her music has become legit. Her focus is on classical and soothing melodies, one of my favorite styles in the world. Recently, thanks to her position for the upcoming gaming titan Final Fantasy XV, her focus has been shifted towards epic latin pieces.

My focus for this upcoming poster is to depict her concert as an epic battle, but in a very classical and elegant style. No gore, no deaths, but a very beautiful composition of color and instrumental weapons. Tag lines that makes the audience wants to join her in her "fictional" and "rhetorical" battle.

She is now most famous for the central composer for Kingdom Heart's, one of the world's largest gaming titles and voted as one of the gaming series of the current generation.

Some pieces I have chosen are works of her early, mid, and now current career

Title of Legend of Mana - Early 90s

Dearly Beloved - Early 2000s (her most famous piece)

Vector to the Heavens - Late 2000s (becoming one of her staples)

Fate of the Unknown - Mid 2000s (transition towards latin classical)

Somnus  - Early 2010s (first latin piece)

Omnis Lacrima - Mid 2010s (latest piece for her latest project)
